Julio is currently completing a novel (Frets), a screenplay (Driving Lenny Bruce) and a collection of two-person playlets (The L.A. Café Plays).  His work has been performed by The Ruskin Group Theatre, Drama West and The Gallery Theatre. His playlet, The Broker, was a finalist in the 2008 Oxford 10-Minute Play Festival.  Julio’s acclaimed contemporary comedia adaptations of such classics as A Servant For Two Masters, Figaro the Barber and Figaro’s Marriage performed in outdoor stage festivals for three years.  Julio has also penned 30-minute adaptations of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer’s Nights Dream, and Taming of the Shrew for middle school drama.  For the radio, he has adapted O Henry’s The Gift of the Magi and Mark Twain’s Diary of Adam and Eve, as well as penning a ten original radio dramas, including Che and Allen, which ha been broadcast worldwide.  A book of the radio plays, “The Eight Plays of Christmas,” is available at  HYPERLINK “http://www.christmasradioplays.com” www.christmasradioplays.com and on Amazon.
